In-person sessions where a group of 5-6 founders meet for a couple of hours to hide from the brown HMRC letters share some of the current issues in their business.
Be honest, support each other and share anything with the group that might help, without judgement. It’s in Manchester and there will be coffee.
We might all be medal hopefuls in the ‘who’s having the shittest time olympics’, but this is not a race to the bottom and we’re not glorifying unhealthy or irresponsible approaches to running a business. You might be a successful founder by the conventional metrics but frequently in turmoil because of how hard and lonely running a business can be.
Fear not. Sessions run under Chatham House Rules. There won’t be a group photo posted on LinkedIn. Anybody is welcome and there will be no prizes for the highest cortisol levels.
My name is Jamie and I’m a stressed founder. Sometimes just talking about it with people who ‘get it’ makes a huge difference. The peer support groups I’ve been a part of, particularly during Covid, weren’t candid enough. I didn’t feel like people were being honest about the strain and worry of ‘doing the right thing’ as a business whilst not running out of cash.
No humblebraggers. If you’re sailing through entrepreneurship and want to make yourself feel even better by ‘giving back’ to those who are struggling, this isn’t for you.
Your company should be doing something that benefits society and/or the planet, or at least treats people fairly and is genuinely ethical.
This is starting as an in-person thing in central Manchester, you need to be able to get here, no dialling in from your car.
Solopreneurs / freelancers are welcome.

You’re probably skint to one extent or another, so I don't charge a fee for facilitating the sessions.
At the end of each session I'll ask you to make a charity donation if you can afford to. I'll let you know the cause we're donating to at each session as this may change throughout the year based on seasonal campaigns or requests from attendees.
